I would like to welcome you to Stealth Deflector:
My name is Gary and I am the designer and owner of Stealth Deflector.
I have been caravanning for 22 years now, and at one stage I had an AU wagon and a 79 Viscount and trucks near used to throw me off the road when they passed. A friend who had been selling caravans since 1962 told me about wind deflectors and that would fix the problem and help my fuel economy.
The only one I could find was made of plastic, and it did work to a degree, but I found it had limitations, like it had speed limitations and limited adjustment and I had to take off where ever we stopped. But the wind from a big flat faced Scania truck coming the opposite direction just smashed it! Scared the hell out us :-)
So I set out to see what else was available, and was disappointed on what I found, so I decided to design one that would do everything I wanted one to do.
Over the next two years I researched aerodynamics and with the help of an old friend looked into different alloy strengths and weaknesses and went through many different porotypes, till I come up with the now Stealth Deflector.
The Stealth Deflectors unique design allows the flow of air to be divided flowing more easier over the surface of the deflector similar to the Stealth Bomber hence the name. Also the Stealth Deflector has the ability to be adjusted to almost any angle, and most importantly it is the only deflector that is able to be laid flat when not in use.
The trucking industry has known about wind deflection for many, many years now to the point that nearly every truck on today’s highways would have something because they know the advantages.
People often ask me how do I know they work? Simple! No bugs on the front of my van or on the Stealth Deflector. This has been our story but please go and have a look at what others have had to say on our Facebook page |
